PAIRO policy preview
Cancellation, refund and recording
This review copy identifies decisions that must be approved before paid lessons begin. It is not an approved cancellation, refund, or recording policy.
Rescheduling with at least 24 hours’ notice
A family rescheduling request qualifies for the intended notice treatment when it is made at least 24 hours before the lesson; exactly 24 hours qualifies. A pending request does not move the original lesson, which remains scheduled until a new time is confirmed.
Late cancellation and parent no-show
A parent cancellation made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or a parent no-show, is chargeable under the intended rule unless an approved, documented exception applies.
Tutor cancellation
A tutor-cancelled lesson is not chargeable and must be rescheduled. The replacement time needs confirmation rather than being treated as accepted solely because it was proposed.
Unused prepaid funds and refunds
Unused prepaid funds are refundable when the service ends. This review copy says PAIRO reviews and initiates the resulting cash refund within seven business days of settlement. Initiation does not guarantee that the bank transfer has completed by that date.
Exceptions and records
Any exception needs a documented reason and should preserve the arrangement’s audit history, including the original lesson, the request, the decision and any resulting charge, credit, reschedule or refund.
Lesson recording requires a separate decision
Lesson recording is not enabled by default. Before any lesson recording begins, a separate decision must approve its purpose, consent process, access limits, retention period and deletion route.
