PAIRO policy preview

Terms

This review copy previews the topics future service terms need to cover. It is not an offer, contract, or approved legal text.

What an accepted arrangement records

An accepted arrangement is intended to record the tutor, subject and level, lesson schedule, lesson duration, actual rate, billing choice and applicable policy terms. Available lesson durations are 60, 90 or 120 minutes.

Family and tutor responsibilities

Future terms need to explain the family’s responsibilities for accurate arrangement information, attendance and an appropriate online learning setting. They also need to explain the tutor’s responsibilities for preparation, bounded communication, lesson delivery and the agreed parent update.

Rates, invoices and payment

S$50 per hour is an initial rate and is not guaranteed. The accepted tutor proposal records the actual rate, and the arrangement uses either post-paid billing per lesson or pre-paid monthly billing as accepted by the family.

Changes to an arrangement

A proposed change to the tutor, subject, level, schedule, duration, rate, billing choice or policy terms needs to be confirmed before it replaces the accepted arrangement. The final terms need an approved way to record that confirmation.

No guaranteed outcome

Tuition is intended to support learning, but an arrangement cannot guarantee grades, examination results, school placement or any other academic outcome.

Questions and disputes

Before paid lessons begin, the service needs an approved route for questions about an arrangement and for disputes about lessons, invoices or payments. The route, response ownership and review steps are not established by this preview.
